Paul Hopkins arrived in Australia from the South West of England 20 years ago pursuing his desire for traveling, surfing and the outdoors. Back in the UK he graduated in Agricultural Science and managed an agricultural construction company. He discovered an affinity for Australia’s quality timbers and residential construction. He has since formally qualified as a carpenter and more recently as Master Builder and Registered Building Practitioner. Somers Construction undertake new builds, additions, renovations and manufacture of external and internal timber stairs. Paul is an outgoing person and a perfectionist by nature with an acute eye for details. He enjoys incorporating Australia’s beautiful timbers and other natural substrates into quality constructed projects. Paul has a passion for creating high quality building projects. With a decade of working experience, Somers Construction has become a trustworthy partner for ventures at all stages from concept to completion. Paul, his wife and their three kids live on the Mornington Peninsula. When time permits they enjoy exploring Australia as a family allowing Paul to follow his other two passions, photography and surfing.
Jodee Hopkins graduated in design back in the UK. Since she arrived in Australia she has worked in the banking sector and became an international trade export coordinator running a team of five personnel. After becoming a mother of three kids she re-qualified as a registered BAS agent and accredited bookkeeper. Jodee is a partner in Somers Construction with an active responsibility in accounts and design.
